Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven now to heat thoroughly.
- On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large circle, approximately 12-14 inches in diameter.
- Using a small round object, lightly press into the center of the dough to create a ring shape.
- Spread pizza sauce generously over the outer ring, leaving the center empty.
Assembly
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
- Arrange your assorted toppings across the cheese.
Baking
- Carefully transfer the decorated pizza to the oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
- Once out of the oven, let it cool for a couple of minutes and brush the outer crust with olive oil.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning over the crust and garnish with fresh basil.
- Cut into slices and serve warm.
