Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

  4. Add the egg, molasses, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.

  6. Divide the dough into two halves, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least one hour.
Baking
  1. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness.
