Method
Marinating the Beef
- Place the thinly sliced beef sirloin in a bowl and pour teriyaki sauce over it, ensuring all pieces are coated evenly. Allow to marinate for 20 minutes.
Cooking the Beef
- Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until fully cooked through and caramelized.
Seasoning the Rice
- In a separate bowl, combine cooked sushi rice with rice vinegar and soy sauce. Stir gently to incorporate the flavors without breaking the grains.
Assembling the Stack
- Using a round mold or small bowl, add a layer of seasoned rice at the bottom, then layer cooked beef and fresh avocado slices. Repeat the layers for a fuller stack.
Garnishing and Serving
- Remove the mold or bowl. Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions. Garnish with nori sheets if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
Use high-quality beef for better flavor. Adjust the teriyaki sauce quantity to your liking. Don’t rush the marination process and feel free to add vegetables or experiment with garnishes.
