Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until combined.
  2. Add in your thinly sliced beef sirloin, making sure each piece is thoroughly coated in the marinade. Cover the bowl and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef, being cautious not to overcrowd the skillet.
  2. Sear for about 4-5 minutes, stirring frequently, until the beef is browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Assembly
  1. In a serving glass or bowl, start with a layer of jasmine rice at the bottom and pack it down slightly.
  2. Spoon a generous amount of cooked teriyaki beef over the rice, allowing the juices to seep into the grains.
  3. Arrange slices of ripe avocado on top, followed by chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
  4. Repeat layering if using larger glasses, finishing with avocado and garnishing with extra green onions and sesame seeds.
