  • 1 cup whole milk Adds tenderness and lightness to the ice cream.
  • 3/4 cup sugar Sweetness for the ice cream base.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Enhances the fruity notes of the ice cream.
Strawberry Swirl
  • 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and mashed Infuses the ice cream with natural color and aroma.
  • 2 tablespoons sugar To enhance the sweetness of the strawberries.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Brightens the flavors and balances the sweetness.

Method

Preparation of Ice Cream Base
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of heavy cream, 1 cup of whole milk, 3/4 cup of sugar, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Whisk gently until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Churning Ice Cream
  1. Pour the creamy mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer's instructions, about 20-25 minutes.
Preparing Strawberry Swirl
  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine 1 1/2 cups of hulled and mashed strawberries, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of lemon juice. Stir gently until the strawberries break down, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool completely.
Combining and Freezing
  1. Once the ice cream has finished churning, transfer it to an airtight container and drizzle the cooled strawberry swirl over the top. Use a spoon or spatula to create a marbled effect.
  2. Seal the container and freeze the ice cream for at least 4 hours or until firm.
Serving
  1. Serve your Strawberry Swirl Ice Cream in cones, bowls, or alongside other desserts. Garnish with fresh berries or a sprig of mint if desired.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, consider using coconut cream and almond milk. Use fresh, ripe strawberries and avoid over-churning to maintain creamy texture.
