Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  4. Cut out heart shapes using a heart-shaped cookie cutter or knife.
  5. Place strawberry jam in the center of each heart.
  6. Add fresh strawberry slices on top of the jam.
  7. Brush the edges with the beaten egg and water mixture.
  8. Seal each heart with a fork.
  9. Arrange on the baking sheet and brush the tops with egg wash.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  2. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Tips: Chill your pastry if it becomes too warm. You can customize fillings with other jams or chocolate. Adding vanilla extract can enhance the flavor.
