Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or spray it lightly with cooking spray.
  3. In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until fully cooked through; drain excess grease.
  4. In a bowl, mix the cooked sausage with softened cream cheese and optional spices until well combined.
  5. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  6. Place about a tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  7. Roll the crescent dough over the filling from the wide end, tucking in the sides.
  8. Place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between for rising.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Pair with a tangy dipping sauce like ranch or a zesty hot sauce. For added flavor, try including chopped herbs in the filling or adjust the type of cheese used.
