Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- In a skillet, cook the breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess grease.
- In a bowl, combine the cooked sausage with softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean surface. Spoon a generous amount of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle and roll it into a crescent shape.
Baking
- Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For best results, ensure cream cheese is softened. A light brush of egg wash before baking can give the crescents a gorgeous shine. Experiment with different fillings or seasonings for variation.
