Preparation
- Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
- On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a tablespoon of pizza sauce.
- Add a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
- Sprinkle garlic powder and dried oregano over the cheese.
- Add slices of pepperoni (or your choice of toppings), then top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing outward.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat and gently cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Once ready, slice the sandwich in half and serve it hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
- Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top for added flavor.
Notes
For perfect Pizza Grilled Cheese, cook on medium heat and use a lid to trap heat and encourage cheese to melt fully. Experiment with different toppings for variety.
