  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce or pizza sauce Choose your favorite brand or homemade for that authentic pizza flavor.
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese The star of the sandwich, ensuring all that melty goodness.
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni Or any pizza toppings of your choice. Be creative!
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano Adds a fragrant herbal touch reminiscent of your favorite pizza.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder For that extra zing of flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Spread a thin layer of butter on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. On the unbuttered side of one slice, spread a tablespoon of pizza sauce.
  3. Add a generous layer of shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder and dried oregano over the cheese.
  5. Add slices of pepperoni (or your choice of toppings), then top with another slice of bread, buttered side facing outward.
  6. Heat a skillet over medium heat and gently cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Once ready, slice the sandwich in half and serve it hot with extra pizza sauce for dipping.
  8. Optional: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top for added flavor.

Notes

For perfect Pizza Grilled Cheese, cook on medium heat and use a lid to trap heat and encourage cheese to melt fully. Experiment with different toppings for variety.
