For the Bowl
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked jasmine rice fluffy and aromatic

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds optional, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, and minced garlic. Set aside.
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. Heat the sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque.
  3. Pour the teriyaki sauce mixture over the shrimp and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring gently.
Final Assembly
  1. Add the pineapple chunks and sliced red bell pepper to the skillet and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Layer serving bowls with jasmine rice, teriyaki shrimp, sautéed pineapple, and bell peppers.
  3. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, cucumber slices, and cilantro.

Notes

For deeper flavor, consider marinating the shrimp in the teriyaki sauce mixture for 30 minutes before cooking. Feel free to add snap peas or broccoli for more nutrition. A sprinkle of red chili flakes can add heat, and serving with lime can brighten the flavors.
