- In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter with the softened unsalted butter. Beat until airy and smooth.
- Gradually add in the brown sugar and pour in the vanilla extract. Mix until glossy.
- Gently fold in the heat-treated flour and salt until a thick dough forms.
- Stir in the chocolate chips evenly into the dough.
- Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper. Press the cookie dough mixture evenly into the dish.
- Sprinkle the mini chocolate chips over the surface and gently press them into the dough.
- Refrigerate for at least two hours to firm up the bars.
- Once set, remove from the dish and slice into squares.
