Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 sheets phyllo pastry Delightfully thin for a melt-in-your-mouth texture
  • 1 cup creamy Brie cheese Sliced generously for a rich experience
  • 1/2 cup cranberry sauce Provides tartness
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans Toasted for added crunch
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter Melted for perfect crispiness
  • 2 tablespoons honey Drizzled for sweetness
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme Optional for presentation and flavor

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lay one sheet of phyllo pastry on a clean surface, brushing lightly with melted butter. Repeat with 4 sheets, stacking them.
  3. Spread half of the cranberry sauce over the layered phyllo, then layer Brie cheese slices and half the chopped pecans.
  4. Layer 3 more sheets of phyllo, brushing each with melted butter, and repeat the filling process with the remaining cranberries, Brie, and pecans.
  5. Finish with the final sheet of phyllo, brushing the top liberally with melted butter. Cut into squares or diamonds.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh thyme before serving.

Notes

To prevent phyllo pastry from drying out, keep unused sheets covered with a damp cloth. Consider adding cinnamon or nutmeg for additional flavor or using store-bought cranberry sauce for convenience.
