Preparation
- Begin by cooking the lo mein noodles according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the noodles and set them aside.
- In a large skillet or wok, warm the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Cooking
- Add the thinly sliced beef sirloin to the skillet, seasoning it with salt and pepper. Stir-fry the beef for about 3-4 minutes or until browned. Remove the beef from the skillet and set it aside.
- Add the minced garlic, sliced bell pepper, broccoli florets, and snap peas to the same skillet and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet, then add the lo mein noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and ground ginger. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
- Remove the skillet from heat and gently stir in the chopped green onions.
Serving
- Serve your Homemade Beef Lo Mein hot, garnished with sesame seeds.
Notes
To add depth of flavor, marinate the beef slices for 30 minutes in soy sauce and ginger. Feel free to swap out vegetables based on what's in season.
