  • 1.5 cups heavy cream Provides a creamy texture and flavor.
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar Sweetens the filling perfectly.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Enhances the overall flavor.
  • a few drops pink food coloring Gives the filling its signature blush.
For garnishing
  • Fresh edible flowers or flower-shaped fondant decorations Adds charm and color.
  • Powdered sugar for dusting Final touch for presentation.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour tart pans.
  2. In a food processor, combine flour and powdered sugar until mixed.
  3. Add cold butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Incorporate egg yolk and cold water, pulsing until a dough forms.
  5. Press the dough into the tart pan, covering the bottom and sides, and prick the base with a fork.
  6. Chill the tart crust in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown.
  2. Allow the crust to cool completely.
Filling
  1. In a medium saucepan, heat heavy cream and granulated sugar over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and pink food coloring.
  3. Pour the filling into the cooled tart crust and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
Serving
  1. Before serving, garnish the tart with edible flowers or fondant decorations and dust with powdered sugar.

Notes

Ensure butter is cold for a flaky crust. Chill the crust to help it hold shape. Consider using a store-bought crust to save time. Experiment with flavors and colors for the filling.
