  • 1.5 cups heavy cream The creamy star of the filling that creates a luscious texture.
  • 0.5 cups granulated sugar To sweeten the filling perfectly.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract Infuses the cream with a warm, aromatic flavor.
  • a few drops pink food coloring For that stunning pink hue.
  • Fresh edible flowers or flower-shaped fondant decorations To garnish the tart.
  • Powdered sugar for dusting Adds a delicate sweetness.

Method
 

Prepare the Tart Shell
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and powdered sugar until well blended.
  3. Cut in the cold cubed butter with a pastry cutter or your fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Add the egg yolk and cold water, and mix gently until the dough starts to come together.
  5. Press the dough into a tart pan, covering the base and sides evenly.
  6. Lightly prick the tart base with a fork to prevent bubbling.
  7. Chill the crust in the refrigerator for 10 minutes, then bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool completely.
Prepare the Filling
  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream, adding in granulated sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
  2. Gently fold in the pink food coloring until the color is evenly distributed.
Assemble the Tart
  1. Spoon the whipped filling into the cooled tart crust, spreading it evenly.
  2. Decorate with fresh edible flowers or fondant decorations, and dust with powdered sugar.
  3. Chill in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours to set.

Notes

Chill ingredients to achieve a flaky crust. For a decorative touch, consider piping the cream into the tart using a star-shaped tip. Experiment with flavors by adding lemon or almond extract.
