Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, add ground beef over medium heat. Brown the beef and break it into small pieces.
  2. Drain any excess fat and add the chopped onion. Cook until translucent and fragrant.
Creating the Sauce
  1. In a separate bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisk until smooth.
Layering
  1. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes at the bottom, followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the soup mixture. Repeat layers.
Baking
  1. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil, sprinkle cheese on top, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

Ensure even slicing of potatoes. Brown the beef well for maximum flavor. Cover with foil to prevent drying out, and add cheese towards the end for best melting.
