Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Mix well until fully integrated.
- Spread a layer of the marinara sauce onto the bottom of your crockpot.
- Layer half of the frozen ravioli evenly over the sauce, then dollop half of the ricotta cheese on top. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and drizzle a third of the remaining marinara sauce over the layers.
- Repeat the layering process with the remaining ingredients: another layer of ravioli, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and the rest of the marinara sauce.
- Finish by topping with the leftover mozzarella cheese.
Cooking
- Cover the crockpot and set it to cook on low for 4-6 hours until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the ravioli is tender.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley just before serving.
Notes
For a healthier twist, consider adding vegetables or using whole wheat ravioli. You can also freeze leftovers for up to 3 months.
