Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while you prepare the batter.
- Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.

Baking

- Once baked, allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Frosting (optional)
- Beat the softened cream cheese and butter until smooth; add vanilla extract and powdered sugar.
- Once the cake is cooled, spread the frosting generously over the top and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
