Preparation
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef or turkey until fully cooked, stirring occasionally.
  2. Drain any excess fat from the meat.
  3. Transfer the browned meat into your crockpot.
  4. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, black beans, kidney beans, corn, and diced tomatoes into the crockpot.
  5. Pour in the beef or vegetable broth and mix everything together thoroughly.
  6. Sprinkle in the chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  7. Layer the chopped bell peppers on top without stirring.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crockpot and set it on low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
