Preparation
- Begin by tossing the sliced beef in a bowl with cornstarch until each piece is fully coated. Shake off any excess cornstarch.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot.
Cooking
- Fry the beef in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until crispy and golden brown. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- In the same skillet, add sliced bell peppers and onion. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly tender.
- Add minced garlic and sauté for another minute until fragrant.
- In a separate bowl, mix soy sauce, sweet chili sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and red chili flakes until well combined.
- Pour the sauce over the sautéed vegetables, stirring well to coat. Add the crispy beef back into the skillet and toss everything together until heated through.
- Sprinkle chopped green onions over the dish before serving.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider double-coating the beef with egg before adding cornstarch. Serve over rice and include stir-fried greens for a complete meal.
