Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it into small pieces as it cooks.
- Drain any excess fat and return the beef to the skillet.
- Add the minced garlic to the beef and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Mixing the Filling
- In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, egg, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Stir until everything is well combined.
- Add the cooked beef mixture to the cheese mixture and stir until thoroughly blended.
Stuffing and Cooking
- Stuff each cooked jumbo shell with the beef and cheese mixture.
- Place the stuffed shells in the prepared baking dish, arranging them side by side.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the marinara sauce and heavy cream.
- Pour the sauce evenly over the stuffed shells.
- Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese on top of the sauce.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- After 25 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let the stuffed shells cool for 5 minutes before serving.
