Method
 

Preparation
  1. Cook the penne pasta according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced spicy sausage and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Cooking
  1. In the same skillet, add the peeled and deveined shrimp. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink. Remove and set aside with the sausage.
  2. Add sliced bell peppers, diced onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until softened.
  3. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add Cajun seasoning and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted. Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet, mixing everything until well coated.
  5. Toss in the cooked penne pasta, ensuring everything is well combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve warm.

Notes

For a creamier sauce, add a splash of cream cheese. This dish can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
