- In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add chopped dried cranberries and finely chopped pecans.
- If desired, sprinkle in chopped green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and season with salt and pepper.
- Blend all ingredients until well combined and creamy yet thick.
- Shape the mixture into a ball using your hands and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Before serving, roll the cheese ball in additional chopped pecans.
- Serve on a platter with crackers or sliced baguette.
Notes
For a lighter version, use low-fat cream cheese or Greek yogurt. You can also make this vegan by using plant-based cheeses. Don't skip the chilling step to help the cheese ball hold its shape.
