Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to create the ideal baking environment for your cookies.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar with an electric mixer or wooden spoon until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time to the mixture, mixing well after each addition. Pour in the aromatic vanilla extract and continue mixing until fully blended.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt until evenly combined.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until everything is thoroughly mixed.
- Gently fold in the cotton candy, allowing it to bring its fluffy magic into the dough.
- Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 tablespoon each, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Optionally, sprinkle the tops with colorful sprinkles.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For a healthier twist, consider using coconut oil instead of butter or whole wheat flour for added fiber. You can also use freeze-dried fruit pieces or flavored extracts instead of cotton candy.
