Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cottage cheese, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, olive oil, egg, and garlic powder (if using). Stir gently until the ingredients start to come together into a dough.
- If the dough is too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until it achieves a soft, pliable consistency.
- Lightly flour a clean surface and knead the dough for a few minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into small equal portions and roll each piece into balls. Flatten these balls gently and roll them out into flat discs, about 1/4-inch thick.
Cooking
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place each flatbread in the skillet and cook for approximately 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove from the skillet and serve warm.
Notes
Add herbs or spices to the dough for more flavor. Whole wheat flour can be used for a softer texture, and extra olive oil can be brushed on the outside for a crispy finish.
