  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.

  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened unsalted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
Mixing and Baking
  1. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  2. Gently fold in chocolate chips and optional holiday-themed sprinkles.
  3. Using a rounded tablespoon, drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  5. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
