Prepare the Cake

- In another bowl, beat butter and sugar together until light and creamy.
- Add eggs and vanilla, mixing well until fully combined.
- Gradually add dry ingredients into the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
Bake
- Evenly divide the batter among the greased mini cake pans.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pans for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Make Ganache
- Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until it simmers.
- Pour hot cream over chocolate chips, let sit, then stir until smooth.
Assemble
- Drizzle ganache generously over cooled cakes.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings or sprinkles if desired.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for easier mixing. Sift dry ingredients to avoid lumps. Don’t overmix the batter. Optional: add a pinch of espresso powder or nuts for texture.
