Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, pour in the melted butter and combine it with the granulated and brown sugars until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time and drizzle in the vanilla extract, stirring until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
Baking
- Scoop a tablespoon of dough, flatten it slightly, and place chocolate chips in the center, enclosing the chocolate.
- Arrange cookie balls on the prepared baking sheet with enough space between them.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are set but the centers remain soft.
- Remove from oven and cool for a few minutes. Sprinkle with sea salt and serve warm.
