Preparation
- Begin by grabbing a mixing bowl. Beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.
- Incorporate the milk and vanilla extract into the mixture, mixing well until everything is fully combined.
- Gradually add the heat-treated flour to the mixture, stirring until fully combined. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- Roll the cookie dough into small balls, approximately 1-inch in diameter, and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Freeze for at least 30 minutes.
Brownie Preparation
- Prepare the brownie batter according to the box instructions, and preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking pan with parchment paper. Spread a thin layer of brownie batter at the bottom of the pan.
Assembling and Baking
- Take the cookie dough balls out of the freezer. Place one cookie dough ball into each brownie bomb. Cover with the remaining brownie batter.
- Bake for 18 to 22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownie portion comes out clean.
- Let the brownie bombs cool completely in the pan before removing.
- Roll each brownie bomb in mini chocolate chips to coat.
Notes
To ensure the safety of your raw cookie dough, heat-treat the flour by spreading it on a baking sheet and baking it at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes. If time allows, chill the cookie dough for a sturdier texture.
