Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for the perfect bake.
- Cook the fettuccine or pasta according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, letting the pasta cool slightly.
Cooking
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until it’s fragrant and golden.
- Stir in the Alfredo sauce, heavy cream, butter, and optional nutmeg. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until everything is heated through and well combined.
- Add shredded chicken and steamed broccoli to the sauce. Gently stir until the chicken and broccoli are well coated in the delicious sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the chicken and broccoli Alfredo mixture. Stir to ensure all the ingredients are mixed evenly.
- Transfer the combined mixture into a greased baking dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Top the dish with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese, creating a cheesy blanket.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and slightly golden on top.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley before serving to brighten the dish.
Notes
Consider adding a sprinkle of smoked paprika or crushed red pepper flakes for a spicy kick. Different cheese varieties, like gouda or cheddar, can be experimented with for unique flavors. For a crispy topping, mix breadcrumbs with olive oil and layer on top before baking. Adjust cooking times if using different pasta for a slightly crunchier texture. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or frozen for longer storage.
