  • 4 slices slices of rustic bread, toasted to golden perfection
  • 1 cup mushrooms, finely chopped brings an earthy aroma
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced for that punch of flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil enhancing richness
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese offering creamy indulgence
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese for bubbly, gooey goodness
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese adding a nutty kick
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for a fresh finish
  • Salt and pepper, to taste elevating all the flavors

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, pour in the olive oil and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.
  2. Add the finely chopped mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and combined.
  4. Arrange the toasted bread on a baking sheet and spoon the mushroom mixture evenly over each slice.
  5. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the tops.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
Serving
  1. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or experiment with different cheeses and herbs.
