Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly toast the bread slices until golden brown.
Cooking
- In a skillet over medium heat, pour in the olive oil and add the minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the finely chopped mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir in the cream cheese until melted and combined.
- Arrange the toasted bread on a baking sheet and spoon the mushroom mixture evenly over each slice.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the tops.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until the cheese melts and bubbles.
Serving
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add red pepper flakes or experiment with different cheeses and herbs.
