Preparation

  2. Grease a 2-quart baking dish generously.

  4. Stir in the drained corn, cheddar cheese, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixed ingredients into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes with the melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle the cornflake mixture evenly over the casserole.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
