- Stir in the drained corn, cheddar cheese, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
- Pour the mixed ingredients into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the crushed cornflakes with the melted butter.
- Sprinkle the cornflake mixture evenly over the casserole.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.
