Preparation
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet with the onions. Cook until the beef is browned and crumbly, draining excess fat.
  3. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper to taste. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted slightly.
Assembly & Cooking
  1. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat. Place a spoonful of the beef and cheese mixture in the center.
  2. Brush the edges of the wrapper with the beaten egg, and fold tightly, tucking in the sides.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  4. Remove egg rolls from oil and drain on paper towels.
  5. Serve hot with dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, or a creamy special sauce.

Notes

Avoid overfilling the egg rolls to prevent leaks. You can freeze un-fried rolls for quick snacks. Experiment with different cheeses for new flavors.
