Ingredients

Pasta and Meats
  • 1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined Juicy and succulent.
  • 1/2 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced Adds savory depth to the dish.
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta Flat noodles that cradle the creamy sauce.
Flavor Enhancers
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning Blend of spices for Cajun flavor.
  • 2 tbsp butter For sautéing, lending richness.
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream Provides luscious creaminess.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese A must-have for cheesy flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Adds aromatic depth.
Garnish
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped For garnish, adds color.

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the fettuccine pasta according to the package directions. Once cooked to al dente perfection, drain and set aside.
Preparing the Meats
  1. While the pasta cooks, season both the shrimp and steak slices generously with Cajun seasoning.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the seasoned steak slices and cook for about 2-3 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked. Once done, remove the steak from the skillet and set it aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter and add the shrimp. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and are fully cooked. Set aside with the steak.
Making the Alfredo Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, bringing it to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce thickens, about 3-4 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining the Ingredients
  1. Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in the rich Alfredo sauce. Gently return the shrimp and steak to the skillet and mix them well with the pasta and sauce.
Serving the Dish
  1. Before serving, garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve hot.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, use homemade Cajun seasoning. Adding a splash of lemon juice brightens the dish. Consider adding vegetables like bell peppers or spinach for additional texture.
